Hot-formed construction pipes are the most common hollow profile on the market. The traditional use of these pipes is as vertical column or horizontal beam.

​​​​​​​ As the pipe is hot-formed, it is not affected by welding as much as a cold-formed pipe. This makes VKR well suited for welding.

HFRHS are flexible when it comes to design and layout.

We at Huddinge stål offer quality assignments in cutting, welding and painting of HFRHS.

HFRHS is cut using band saws and circular saws. We have optically controlled cutting machines that enable finely cut details. We deliver forged blanks in various shapes and qualities. We cut, and cut, to the dimensions and angles you need for your HFRHS.

At Huddinge stål, we have access to IWS competence for welding supervision for EXC2 fully in accordance with SS EN 1090-2. We also paint constructions with a length of up to 22 meters and a width of up to 4 meters. The painting takes place in Huddinge and we do both base painting and varnishing, class 1 to 5.​​​​​​​

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN hFRHS AND CFRHS

The difference between HFRHS and CFRHShas to do with the manufacturing process. hFRHS pipes are usually made from hFRHS pipes which are then stress-relief annealed to reduce the stresses in the material. This leads to significant mechanical differences between hFRHS and CFRHStubes.

hFRHS-PIPES dimensionS

VKR pipes 50x50, 60x60 and 70x70 are the most common dimensions for lighter applications. For rougher applications, 100x100 and above are more common.
